The CR Grassfed Beef Story

Ron Cheyne and Paul Ryan are working together to provide our customers with the best Texas grass fed beef.  We select only the best steers from our Angus and Murray Grey herd and raise these steers the old-fashion way using quality grass and time.  CR Grassfed Beef uses a variety of warm and cool season grasses to successfully raise grassfed beef here in Texas and Oklahoma.  We provide organic salt (Redmond Salt) and minerals along with kelp meal and diatomacious earth (DE) to help maintain a high level of animal heath. We use only organic fertilizers such as spreading compost and spraying fish emulsion and compost tea.  We bale our own hay which is 100% organic.  We irrigate our grasses using a drip-tape sub-irrrigation system and K-Line above ground system to ensure our cattle have the best quality grass to eat during those hot Texas summer days.

Raising beef the old-fashion way is how we choose to raise our steers. This process takes time but that is the key to getting the most health benefits from beef.
